Cheese Shell Tacos
Yield: 6 Servings
Per Serving: 1 Lean protein 3 Condiments Just need to add some greens to this one!
Ingredients
- 3 cups of freshly shredded low-fat cheddar cheese
For the beef taco filling
- 1 1/4 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
- 3 tsp taco seasoning
- 1/3 cup of water (if needed)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Place cheese in piles on a non-greased baking sheet, bake for 8 minutes until piles have melted into circles.
- Don't let the cheese color too much. let cool 2 minutes on the baking sheet. Put on paper towels blot off excess grease.
- To form shells, lay over a propped-up utensil. (Or you can use- a wide bowl or saucepan) Set aside to cool.
Taco filling: Make taco filling according to the package. Then add onion, garlic, and jalapenos.
